Cemex LatAm Holding (CLH) completed the expansion of cement production and bagging capacity at its plant in Puerto de San José, Guatemala.
“We are pleased to be part of the progress of the different regions and markets where we operate directly, as well as being an agent for change for the construction industry in Guatemala,” said Jaime Muguiro, general director of CLH, during a late-March opening ceremony.
Following improvements to the plant’s milling operations and the installation of a new $3.7 million bagging line, the company expects cement production capacity to increase by 10 percent to 0.545 million tpy, while bagging capacity is expected to increase by 46 percent to 95 tph.
